Kim Richards
Therapy is a space to slow things down, make sense of what you are experiencing, and feel more like yourself again. I work with adolescents and adults who feel overwhelmed, emotionally stuck, or impacted by difficult life experiences, and who want support navigating emotions, relationships, identity, and stress.
I am a registered social worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW). My practice is integrative and body-focused, blending talk therapy with somatic approaches to help you notice patterns and respond to challenges with more clarity and choice. I also offer Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), which is helpful for processing trauma and distressing life experiences.
Many of the people I work with are navigating the stress of racism, systemic pressure, or feeling unseen within dominant systems. In therapy, we can name these realities, explore how they show up in the body, and process the frustration, grief, and exhaustion. Together, we can identify safe resources, within yourself and in the community.
